casa verde1Welcome to La Ventana, a beautiful paradise for you to discover on the Sea of Cortez. We are located just 35 minutes southeast of La Paz, the capital city of Baja California Sur. Visit this beautiful spot with incredible turquoise water, amazing sunrises and sunsets, perfect temperatures and incredible vistas. La Ventana is a small Mexican fishing village where the desert meets the blue-green waters of the Sea of Cortez. For kiteboarders and windsurfers La Ventana is one of the most consistently windy places you'll find anywhere in the world during its windy season of November through March. For the person that could care less about the wind it only blows mid morning to late afternoon. Casa Verde was opened in 2005 and is an owner-operated establishment. David and Alia Webb moved to La Ventana in 2004 from southeastern Washington State and built Casa Verde on what was an empty sand lot. David, originally from Oregon, was a collector of porcelain neon signs and other antiques http://www.losthighway.net. Alia was an engineer from central Russia.
